I met Amy earlier this year as she was planning a wedding for summer of 2012… I got to hear a little about her fiance Philip, and the wedding plans that had begun. I was so excited when they decided to book with me! A couple weeks later, I heard that they moved their wedding date up to this November… 11-11-11! It all worked out, I had the date available, and they continued planning what I know is going to be an amazingly gorgeous wedding day! Amy is super-organized, and with just about everything all set to go, they decided there was no need to wait another six or seven months to tie the knot! It reminds me of that line from When Harry Met Sally (one of my favorite movies of all time!): “…when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” So, so true.
I met up with Amy and Philip at Aquinas College (where she went to school), and we spent time taking pictures near the music center, the Academic Building, and the roads that run through the tree-filled campus. It was the first time I met Philip, and I know that being photographed isn’t usually a guy’s idea of a good time, but I think he was a natural. Amy looked even more gorgeous than usual, thanks to the talented Julie Strating, who will be doing Amy’s wedding-day makeup as well! They are a sweet couple, and I am very much looking forward to their wedding day!
