Ryan and Staci have been together for almost eight years, growing into young adults who support and encourage each other as individuals. Throughout this time together, they have achieved so much, and built a foundation for their life together. They have an incredible future ahead of them, one that I hope is full of joy and many blessings. I’ve only had the chance to talk to Ryan a few times, but the more I get to know him, the more I see what a great guy he is. Saturday, after meeting some of his family and friends, I can see why he is so wonderful. I know that he can see what a beautiful person Staci is, inside and out… she is sweet, thoughtful, ambitious, and funny. I’m so happy for the two of them, that they had such a lovely day to begin this new chapter of their life, but mostly that they have each other. I hope their wedding was exactly what they dreamed of, and I hope that my photos help to keep their memories vivid. It was very hard to narrow down the images for this post, their wedding was so full of gorgeous details! Staci and Ryan, your big day was absolutely amazing, and it was an honor to celebrate with you!
As I began to write about this wedding, and I started thinking about Staci, this girl I have known for almost 30 years, as well as her parents and her brother… I can’t help but take a minute to write a personal note. I am so happy that I was able to be there on her wedding day, when she married an incredibly kind, smart, handsome man. It was a lot of fun to be her photographer, although I felt like I was there as a guest as well, and I had a wonderful time. I am so glad I had a chance to talk to Staci at the end of the night and tell her how much it meant to me. Our parents were friends with each other when they were around 19 or 20 years old, so a history of friendship exists between our families. Looking back at how life has brought us to this day brings back so many memories (swimming all day in their pool, watching movies, bugging our big brother and sister…). It makes me feel so hopeful that Staci and I will remain friends, perhaps someday dancing at the weddings of our own kids…
