When I think of the word “skyline“, of course I automatically picture tall buildings… Chicago, New York, or even Grand Rapids come to mind. A skyline is usually defined as the line where the sky meets the earth, or the outline of buildings or mountains against the sky. I’m stretching the definition here, as you can see. The tippy-top of the trees reaching skyward, from a vantage point that is just too convenient: my driveway. I did want to think outside the box (hence the trees), but considering I didn’t have to go anywhere to take this photo, I wonder if I could come up with something better. Blame it on the weather, or my son feeling under-the-weather, but this image captures the mood of the day – a little dreary. I still like the simplicity.
