All the planning, all the fun, the stress, the parties and showers, and the last-minute projects, the busy-ness… it can be enough to make your head spin! Time seems to go by too quickly! Then the hustle of a wedding day carries you along like a rushing river, until suddenly you find yourself in a calm moment: the one you have been waiting for, for months, years… maybe your entire life. All those details and decisions are made, and the only thing that matters is two people vowing to love only each other for the rest of their lives. It’s the only thing that ever mattered, and I can tell you – I have seen a lot of weddings – it is this element that makes them beautiful. Savanna and Lee’s wedding day was lovely in every aspect, and the unique, intimate ceremony at Hudsonville Nature Center was a perfect reflection of the couple. Savanna is always so full of love and sweetness, so her wedding day of course was no exception. She looked happier than ever, and obviously made a gorgeous bride! Her new husband Lee is just wonderful, adorable, and charming… I’m so happy she has him to spend forever with!
The day started out at Savanna’s family home, full of friends and family, bridesmaids, hair dressers, moms and grandmas, and a few furry friends…

Savanna’s dress was simply perfect, and… wait for it… it has pockets! Awesome!

The following afternoon, Savanna and Lee had a big reception at her family’s barn! It was decorated beautifully, full of colorful glass, lace, roses and baby’s breath, and countless photos! All of the guests watched a video of the wedding ceremony just before the bridal party made their grand entrance! It was a night full of love and celebration with friends and family. As I left, I looked over at the barn, the lights glowing and the music playing, the sound of laughter, and I truly felt so happy for my cousin Savanna and her new husband Lee. I am incredibly thankful that I was able to be a part of this event, and that they trusted me to capture it for them. Here are the reception highlights:
